2pc Truck Running Board LED Light Kit with Courtesy Lights will make your truck stand out on the road; effectively alerting other motorists of your truck’s presence by illuminating the sides of the truck with ultra-bright White LEDs. This kit also features a courtesy light function that illuminates the ground with solid white LEDs whenever the doors are opened or when the dome light is activated. This flexible Side Marker & Courtesy Light Kit is offered in 62” strips for regular cab trucks that feature 144 SMD LEDs per strip,The side marker light strip features a waterproof design that mounts to the bottom of the truck or behind the running board using the included 3M™ tape and mounting brackets for a safe and secure fit that will last in all weather conditions. Each kit includes installation instructions, 3M™ tape, mounting brackets, screws, butt splice connectors and zip ties for a complete installation.

Control Box Features

The included control box with 4 input wires features Black wire: Ground, White wire: Running Light, Red Wire: Brake Light, Yellow Wire: Signal Light. The output end with 3 wires features Black wire: Ground wire – connect to the black wire on the strip, Red Wire – White Brake light connect to the red wire on the strip, Yellow Wire – Yellow signal light to the yellow wire on the strip.

Running Light:Connect the Red input wire on the controller to the headlight switch source to access the running lights. The running lights function illuminates half brightness of solid White LEDs that make your truck more visible on the road when driving at night. This feature works in conjunction with your truck’s headlights, so that when you turn your headlights on, the running boards on either side of your truck will be illuminated with the eye-catching White LEDs. Feel safe and secure driving, no matter what time of day, while also enhancing the look and feel of your truck.

BrakeLight:Connecting the Red wire to the truck’s brake switch to make the white LEDs on your running boards to flash then solid white when braking is happening. If you don’t want have white color lighting when braking happen, you can connect the red wire to the interior dome light wire, which allows the LEDs to illuminate the ground beneath your truck with solid white LEDs anytime a door is opened or when the dome light is activated.

Turn Signals:Connecting the Yellow wire to the truck’s turn signal wires allows the amber LEDs on your running boards to scanning whenever the turn signals or hazard lights are engaged. This is an independent function and will not work while the running lights are active. The turn signal function works in tandem with your standard turn signals. And along with looking great, there is an added safety feature as well. When merging onto a road or shifting lanes, for example, other drivers will be alerted of your turns by seeing the amber LEDs flashing along your truck’s running boards.

Courtesy Lights:The Green wire on the strip can be connected to the interior dome light wire, which allows the LEDs to illuminate the ground beneath your truck with solid white LEDs anytime a door is opened or when the dome light is activated. This allows for more visibility when getting in and out of the truck. The courtesy lights function offers the benefit of added visibility especially at nighttime when you’re walking up to your truck. You can unlock your door using your truck’s key fob, and the ground underneath will immediately be illuminated solid white. This feature can also be used with either the running lights or turn signal functions.
